Women-led organizations have been on the frontlines of the response to the Sudan regional refugee crisis. They have advocated for peace, mobilized to provide lifesaving assistance and advocated for the rights of the Sudanese refugee communities and other groups, of which an estimated 54% are women and girls and 48% are children under the age of 18 years (Sudan Regional Refugee Response Plan 2025). The platform connects women-led organizations to foster regional collaboration, networking and exchange of learnings in providing protection, humanitarian assistance, and facilitating solutions in the countries impacted by the Sudan crisis. Members of this forum include Women-led Organizations, Women Rights Organizations and Women-Refugee Led Organizations and influential women leaders. The platform has +70 members from across the region and will work towards amplifying the vices of women and girls affected by the Sudan conflict as well as strengthen the technical and financial capacity of women-led organizations to respond to the humanitarian crisis and resilience-building initiatives.
