New Provincial and Sectoral Analysis for Chad Launched on the Development Action Platform

The Development Action Platform has published new pages dedicated to Chad, drawing from consultations and inputs from Government, humanitarian partners, development partners, refugees and host communities. The Chad Country Page spotlights the National Response Plan for the Crisis in Eastern Chad and introduces a new suite of spatial mapping tools. 

Dedicated pages to four provinces in Eastern Chad (Ouaddaï, Ennedi Est, Sila, and Wadi Fira) provide area-based analysis. Each provincial page presents the latest Provincial Development Plans and Annual Investment Plans, along with ongoing development projects and identified priority investment areas.

Seven new sector pages cover Agriculture & Food Security, Economic Inclusion, Education, Energy & Environment, Health, Policy & Legal, and WASH. Each sector page presents the vision for refugee inclusion, outlines the policy environments, national standards, and investment priorities, and highlights how development actors can contribute. 

The new pages are enriched with data from the Ajala Platform, a humanitarian coordination tool offering localized, sectoral data and a repository of key documents for the Eastern Chad response. The FAO Data in Emergencies Monitoring (DIEM) platform is featured on the Agriculture & Food Security page, providing real-time insights on agricultural trends and food security indicators. Additionally, the platform hosts an updated Chad Document Library featuring 63 key resources to support evidence-based decision-making. The library features government legislation, research, operational updates, partner reports, among others.
